Located one door of a small arc in the eastern mountain range of Bo Hon Island, Drum Cave (Hang Trong) is 3km away from Sung Sot Cave on the southeast of Halong Bay and 15km Bai Chay Tourist Wharf. It was named because the wind blowing through the stalactites and stalagmites resembles drumbeats.

Drum Cave’s legend is associated with Virgin Cave (Trinh Nu Cave), which is at the opposite direction. But too poor to marry the girl, the fisherman went for a long cruise and risked his life for a fortune. Upon hearing the girl running away from family pressure to marry a rich man in the village, he came back but couldn’t find her.
